What Is Mahjong Ways 2 on live888?
Mahjong Ways 2 is a video slot developed by PG Soft — one of the most respected studios in the Asian gaming market — and it builds significantly on the foundation of the original Mahjong Ways title. Where the first game introduced Pakistani players to the visual world of traditional mahjong tiles translated into a spinning-reel format, Mahjong Ways 2 on live888 expands the grid, deepens the bonus mechanics, and raises the potential maximum win ceiling to a level that attracts both casual players and high-volume VIP members.
The game runs on a 5×4 reel grid with a "Ways" pay structure — meaning wins are counted from left to right wherever matching symbols appear on adjacent reels, rather than along fixed paylines. This produces 1,024 ways to win on every single spin, giving live888 players in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, and across Pakistan a dramatically higher base hit rate compared to standard payline slots.
Available on both desktop and mobile, Mahjong Ways 2 on live888 loads instantly on any Pakistan 4G network and supports stakes from as low as 200 PKR per spin — making it accessible to players of every bankroll tier. All wins are settled in PKR directly to your live888 wallet, ready to withdraw via Easypaisa or JazzCash within minutes.
Mahjong Tile Symbols on live888
Mahjong Ways 2 uses a rich set of symbols drawn from classical mahjong iconography. On live888, each tile category carries its own payout value — here are the key symbols and their base multipliers for a 5-of-a-kind Ways win.
Bonus Mechanics That Set live888 Apart
Land 3, 4, or 5 Scatter tiles anywhere on the reels to trigger 10, 15, or 20 free spins. During the bonus round on live888, multipliers from Wild symbols accumulate across spins — they do not reset between individual free spins, meaning the final spins of the bonus often carry multipliers of 50× to 500×.
The Dragon Wild does not just substitute for other symbols — in Mahjong Ways 2 on live888, each Wild carries a multiplier value of 2×, 3×, or 5×. When multiple Wilds appear in a single winning Ways combination, their multipliers multiply together rather than adding.
Landing 3 or more Scatter symbols during the free spins round retriggeres the bonus, awarding an additional 10 free spins. Retriggering is uncapped — theoretically unlimited retriggers are possible, though rare. live888's live game feed shows the biggest Mahjong Ways 2 retrigger wins in real time.
For live888 players who want to enter the bonus round immediately, Mahjong Ways 2 offers a Buy Bonus option. At a fixed cost of 100× your base stake in PKR, you can purchase instant access to the free spins round — bypassing the base game entirely and going straight to the high-multiplier bonus action.
Mahjong Ways 2 vs. the Original — What Changed?
live888 players who enjoyed the first Mahjong Ways title will find a substantially upgraded experience in the sequel. Here's a side-by-side of the key improvements.
Original: 5×3 grid (243 ways). Mahjong Ways 2 on live888: 5×4 grid with 1,024 ways — a 4× increase in win path density on every single spin.
Mahjong Ways 2 on live888 offers a max win of 10,000× your stake — compared to 6,000× in the original. At 2,000 PKR stake, that's a potential payout of 20,000,000 PKR from a single spin.
The sequel introduces a multiplier stack mechanic during free spins — multipliers from individual Wilds add to a shared pool rather than resetting. This compounds rapidly across a long free spins chain on live888.
PG Soft rebuilt the tile artwork with higher resolution and added animated celebratory sequences for big wins. The mobile performance on live888 is noticeably smoother, even on mid-range Android devices common in Pakistan.
At a 2,000 PKR stake on live888, a full 10,000× outcome equals a payout of 20,000,000 PKR — from a single Mahjong Ways 2 free spins bonus round.
Plus: new live888 members receive a 100% first-deposit welcome bonus up to 5,000,000 PKR — giving you more PKR to explore the full Mahjong Ways 2 experience from day one.

Getting the Most from Mahjong Ways 2 on live888
Mahjong Ways 2 is a high-variance slot — that means long stretches of small wins punctuated by explosive bonus rounds. Understanding the game's rhythm helps Pakistani players on live888 manage their PKR bankroll effectively and maximise the bonus round potential.
The three strategies below are the most commonly used by experienced live888 Mahjong Ways 2 players in Pakistan — from casual weekend spinners in Karachi to high-frequency VIP players who run extended sessions and use the Buy Bonus feature regularly.
Because Mahjong Ways 2 is a high-variance title, live888 recommends a minimum session bankroll of at least 100–200 base spins. At 200 PKR per spin, that means starting a session with 20,000–40,000 PKR in your live888 balance to give the bonus mechanics room to trigger. Running out of PKR mid-session before a trigger is the most common player mistake.
The Buy Bonus feature on live888 costs 100× your base stake in PKR — so at 500 PKR per spin, a bonus buy costs 50,000 PKR. This is efficient when you want guaranteed access to the free spins round and have the bankroll to absorb variance in the bonus itself. Avoid buying the bonus if your session balance is below 5× the cost of a single buy.
During the Mahjong Ways 2 free spins round on live888, watch the multiplier stack counter displayed on-screen. If you're deep into a free spins chain with a multiplier stack above 50×, each remaining spin carries enormous potential — this is when many experienced live888 players in Lahore and Islamabad increase focus rather than using Auto-Spin, to appreciate each outcome in real time.
Important from live888: Mahjong Ways 2 is an entertainment product — not a financial tool. High-variance gameplay means sessions can result in net losses even with good bankroll management. Always set a session budget in PKR before you begin, use live888's built-in responsible gaming deposit limit tools, and stop playing if you exceed your planned loss threshold. 18+ only. Play Mahjong Ways 2 Responsibly on live888
Mahjong Ways 2 on live888 is a high-variance slot for adults aged 18 and above — intended strictly as entertainment. Before each session, set a PKR spending limit in your live888 account settings and commit to it regardless of session results. The Buy Bonus feature, in particular, can deplete a PKR balance quickly if used without a clear budget framework.
